About us
The work of the Scottish network encompasses the National Priorities in Education especially in the arena of Social Inclusion and Lifelong Learning.

The work our members are engaged in involves a wide range of staff (including teachers, home school workers, family learning & literacy workers, community workers, adult educators, social work and health professionals) providing a wide range of programmes.

These programmes range from curricular workshops to adult learning, from family/home learning and literacy to growth of community opportunities such as Community Learning, Health and Sport Initiatives.

Many of our members work in the new Integrated Community Schools and in the community, encouraging parents to take their place within the integrated community approach to the educational process.

The Scottish Network promotes the development of an interagency approach amongst professionals, sharing good practice and implementing policies in working with parents to enhance their children's attainment.

The network organises annual national conferences, produces quarterly newsletters and supports members meeting locally.

If you would like to join the network, go to the membership page.
